Birthday Party Fun

Family Night @ the Library on Thursday, October 18th seemed to be the most successful event we have had all year for the library. We had so many families coming in to check out books, do the activities together and enjoy a frozen smoothie, there was no down time for the anyone.

There were activities going on in the library, the hallway, and in the cafeteria. As families came in they were handed a list of the activities in which they could participate. Here is a list of the activities for the families to choose from for the evening.

  • Clifford's ears headband
  • Birthday party coloring sheet
  • Birthday graph - decorate a birthday cupcake, write name on it with birth date, and then staple it to the graph
  • Online computer games (Smart Board and library computers) - by clicking on the link below, you will see all of the games that were available during the Birthday Party Fun event.
Here are just a few of the 70+ pictures taken during the evening.

By the look on the faces of all of the friends who attended on Thursday evening, I believe this was a huge success. I had a great time and I think the children and their parents did as well.

Next Thursday, October 25th, we will have a Halloween theme. The children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume (friendly costumes, please - we don't want anyone to be scared) to Family Night @ the Library. We will have only treats, no tricks. Activities will include a pumpkin scavenger hunt. I hope to see everyone for Family Night @ the Library!
